Meet Me @ 19th Street is the online literary journal that holds quarterly competitions for first chapters of in-progress or completed novels. Each competition has a distinct theme, and the opening one for 2020 focuses on the first chapter of YA works addressing racial injustice. Because novels have the power to help us imagine how our own lives might be lived, we seek stories with positive social impact to inspire readers.
Each of the three winners will receive $100 and consideration for the Arch Street Prize, which includes $1000, professional editing of the manuscript, a book contract and publication by Arch Street Press. The deadline for submissions is midnight, July 31st, with an entry fee of $15.
